After an interruption of two years, the annual opening of the Foundation in Rhodes took place on the day of saint Marc on April 27th with a numerous participation. Two winners of the grant presented their work.
On this occasion Miyuka SCHIPFER, winner of the 2019 Marc de Montalembert grant, presented in an exhibition her drawings and photos which formed the substance of her book “CHANTS DE SION” and Gabriele LANGOSCO, winner of the Marc de Montalembert 2021 grant, gave a lecture on the results of his project “SCULPTURE GENOISE, ROUTES MEDITERRANEENNES A L’EPOQUE DE PHILIPPE II” (1556-1598). On this same day the Foundation presented a new publication “To megalo taxidi tou Kiro” (The long journey of Kiro). This small illustrated booklet in Greek is intended for the school children of Rhodes who visit the Foundation’s garden.
There was no presentation of the Marc de Montalembert grant as the 2022 grant was not awarded.
